The 3RT2018-2AP01 is one of the few SIRIUS 3RT20 S00 frame contactors that uses an AC coil. The coil is rated for 230V AC and is compatible with both 50Hz and 60Hz power supplies. It is suitable for direct drive from the existing 230V AC power supply in the control box, eliminating the need for a separate 24V DC power supply or transformer, simplifying power distribution design and reducing component count. The terminals are spring-loaded and equipped with one set of normally open auxiliary contacts. The main circuit maintains an AC-3 rated capacity of 16A, 7.5kW (400V). Weighing only approximately 0.254kg, it is one of the lighter models in the family.
