Electric vehicle era sees charging pile prices soar.
Kensun Motors, with its forward-thinking strategy, became the first authorized distributor of Siemens AC charging piles in Taiwan in September.
The electric vehicle market is poised for rapid growth over the next 5-10 years, with automakers worldwide issuing environmental statements. Countries such as the UK, Netherlands, Germany, China, Ireland, and Israel have announced nationwide bans on the sale of new gasoline and diesel vehicles starting in 2030. Nissan has declared it will cease sales of its gasoline-powered vehicles by 2025, and Bentley will stop selling them from 2026, aiming for full electrification by 2030 and becoming a purely electric vehicle brand. As a result, charging stations have become a key area of focus for major automakers globally.
In light of this, Kensun Motors, which has been actively developing the new energy industry in recent years, has become the first distributor in Taiwan to represent Siemens AC charging piles in September 2020, after providing customers with a wide range of protection and monitoring products from DC to AC. In addition to offering various series of charging piles and additional protection products for customers to choose from and providing suggestions, Kensun Motors also provides one-stop services in cooperation with installation companies. In the future, Kensun Motors will also plan to set up a showroom to allow consumers to experience and understand the high quality and high functionality of Siemens AC charging piles.
Can think Electric Co. stated that charging stations are still in their infancy in Taiwan, but with major global automakers investing heavily in their development, charging stations are poised for widespread adoption. Currently, the main customer base consists of electric vehicle users and those using vehicles such as shopping malls, motels, parking lots, and hotels. In the future, it is expected to evolve into a "parking = charging" model.
This year's groundbreaking third-generation Siemens VersiCharge AC charger is noteworthy for its innovative design, high AC charging power of up to 11.5 kW, and various communication options for connection to the customer's preferred back-end system. The new model also features accurate revenue metering and building management systems (such as Siemens Desigo) for dynamic load management, which intelligently adjusts to changes in the building's energy demand.
Can think Electric Co. adds that the rugged and durable VersiCharge AC charger is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use (NEMA 4, IK 10 for both indoor and outdoor use). It can be mounted on walls or auxiliary poles, and has an app (VersiCharge) that allows customers to monitor the charging status at any time. Currently, VersiCharge AC is mainly divided into home and commercial versions, and further subdivided into basic and high-end versions, each with 40A and 48A, providing customers with eight specifications to choose from.
Can think Electric Co. has been an authorized distributor of Siemens low-voltage electrical control equipment since 1986, Cooper Bussmann (now Eaton Bussmann fuses and fuse holders) in 2005, Phoenix Contact's full range of products in 2009, and Shihlin Electric (Taiwan) and Telergon (Spain) isolation switches in 2018. The product range continues to expand with market trends. Chairman Hsu Wei-yang stated, "Providing customers with the safest, most comprehensive, and intelligent solutions, enhancing competitiveness, and providing excellent service are the company's consistent philosophies." In recent years, the company has actively developed new energy businesses (solar energy, wind power, energy storage, charging piles, etc.) and continues to grow in multiple directions in new energy and industrial control.
Siemens is a global multinational corporation founded in 1847. Since then, it has led the world in electronic and electrical products and has been active in energy, healthcare, industry, infrastructure and urban business (such as MRT and smart cities). Siemens VersiCharge chargers have represented superior quality, durability and mature technology in the international market for more than ten years.
